Black and Blue

Brooklyn got a nice shiner. This is the best picture I have of it. It was worse than you can see in the picture. I was out one night, and Damon put the kids to bed. The next morning, I got the kids up to go to work with me, and Brooklyn had a puffy black eye. It has been interesting taking her around this week and having adults ask her, "what happened to your eye?" The story I got was Brooklyn and Devin were jumping on the bed and knocked heads. Ooh, ouch!
P.S. I found my bluetooth, so feel free to give me a call :)

We Painted!

We painted our bedroom, all in one weekend. I did the big stuff with the rollers, and Damon painted the detail. It gives the room a nice warm feeling. I'm proud of us because we are not painters. We've been in the house now for a year and a half, and we still have mostly white walls. I think the paint brings the room together nicely. But as you can see from the pictures, we still don't have drapes, and I don't quite know what would look good. Our bed cover is light blue with dark brown trim, and the walls are now an orangish brown. So if anyone has any suggestions, or links I should check out, I would love some advice!

Losers Anon

Hi, my name is Rachel, and I lose things. I've recently lost my blue tooth, and my cell phone. One is too expensive to replace, and I found the other. Thank goodness, I would have had to buy a new phone, no doubt about that. Other things I have lost: my wedding ring (my daughter found that after about 9 months of me walking around ringless). A diaper bag that had at least $150.00 worth of crap in it. I spent a good deal of time looking for that one. My wallet, we all know that pathetic story. Children's shoes. We leave, we come back with no shoes. How does that happen? We found them on the grocery store shelf. Blah, if you want something lost, I am your gal.

Brooklyn's 4th

We had Brooklyn's 4th birthday party on Saturday. Damon's mom was in town to enjoy the festivities. I made the barbie cake shown above, I don't think I'll ever do that again. As I started to frost her, I remembered I couldn't even frost a round cake well. Luckily, Damon's mom helped out and we got her done. It was totally a girly party. We made the awesome rings shown above (who needs party games when you can craft?). I got the idea from littlebirdiesecrets. Then we painted the girls fingernails and put little flower decals on them. Devin got his nails painted also, it's wearing off fast though. I think he is picking at them. Happy 4th Brooklyn. We love you, girl.
